Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

The Front Pager, operated by A3YD Studios ("we," "our," or "us"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our services.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use our service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

Our service does not require user registration or account creation for basic browsing. We only collect personal information when you voluntarily provide it through contact forms or direct communications with us.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect certain information, including:

• Log Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and timestamps
• Device Information: Device type, screen resolution, and browser capabilities
• Usage Data: How you interact with our service, including pages visited and time spent on pages
• Cookies and Similar Technologies: Small data files stored on your device (see Section 4 for details)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Service Operation: To provide, maintain, and improve our newspaper front-page service
• Technical Optimisation: To optimise website performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security
• Analytics: To understand how visitors interact with our service and identify areas for improvement
• Advertising: To deliver and measure advertising shown on our site through Google Ad Manager, subject to your consent (see Section 4)
• Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes
• Communication: To respond to inquiries and send important service-related notifications

4. Cookies, Advertising and Consent

4.1 What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit our website. They help us provide a better user experience, understand how our service is used, and — where you have given consent — show relevant advertising.

4.2 Types of Cookies We Use

• Essential Cookies: Necessary for the website to function properly, including remembering your consent choices
• Performance Cookies: Help us understand how visitors interact with our website
• Functional Cookies: Remember your preferences and improve your experience
• Advertising Cookies: Used by Google Ad Manager, Google AdSense and their partners to show advertising and measure its performance, only with your consent

4.3 Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. However, disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our service. Most browsers allow you to:

• View and delete cookies
• Block cookies from specific sites
• Block third-party cookies
• Clear all cookies when you close your browser

4.4 Advertising and Google Ad Manager

We use Google Ad Manager to deliver advertising on our website, with advertising demand provided through Google AdSense. Advertising helps fund the service and keep it free to read. With your consent, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Show advertising based on your previous visits to this site or other websites
• Allow Google and its advertising partners to display relevant advertising
• Measure the performance of advertising and improve the advertising experience
• Limit the number of times you see a specific advert
• Detect and prevent fraudulent or invalid traffic

If you do not consent to personalised advertising, Google may still show non-personalised advertising, which uses limited information (such as the page you are visiting and your approximate location) but does not rely on profiling. You can learn more about how Google uses your data in the Google Privacy Policy and manage your preferences in Google Ads Settings.

4.5 Consent Management Platform (CMP)

To collect and manage your consent for cookies and advertising, we use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) registered with IAB Europe under the Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) with CMP ID 300. The CMP is the consent banner shown the first time you visit the site and any time you choose to review your settings.

Through the CMP you can:

• See which advertising and analytics partners may use your data, and for what purposes
• Accept all purposes, reject all non-essential purposes, or make granular choices per purpose and per vendor
• Withdraw or change your consent at any time — your previous choice will not lock you in

Your consent choices are stored on your device and shared with our advertising partners using the IAB TCF signal so that they can honour them. You can reopen the consent settings at any time using the privacy or consent link in our site footer, or by clearing the relevant cookies in your browser to bring the banner back.

5. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties, except in the following circumstances:

5.1 Service Providers

We may share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or serving our users, provided they agree to keep this information confidential. This includes hosting providers, analytics providers, and — where you have consented — Google and its advertising partners.

5.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to:

• Comply with applicable laws or respond to legal processes
• Protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users or others
• Investigate potential violations of our Terms of Service
• Prevent fraud or other illegal activities

5.3 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

• Secure server infrastructure and data encryption
• Regular security assessments and updates
• Access controls and authentication mechanisms
• Monitoring for suspicious activities

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Factors we consider when determining retention periods include:

• The nature and sensitivity of the information
• Legal and regulatory requirements
• Operational needs and service improvement
• User preferences and consent

8. International Data Transfers

The Front Pager is operated by A3YD Studios. Our service is hosted in the European Union, and your information may be processed and stored in the EU, the United Kingdom, or other countries where our service providers (including Google) operate. By using our service, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

We take appropriate measures to ensure that any international transfers comply with applicable data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, and that your information receives adequate protection.

9. Your Rights and Choices

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy
• Post the revised policy on our website
• Notify users of significant changes through appropriate means
